Rehearsals, performances and competition information will be posted on the bulletin board in the waiting
room at the studio and given as a handout. Please check the board for information often.
We would like very much to begin all rehearsals on time. This is often impossible because many dancers
arrive late. Please arrive a few minutes early so that you are ready to dance at the scheduled time.
The objective of our studio and teachers is to train our students to the best of their abilities. We
feel that performances and some competition are an important part of that training. However, they are just a part of
that training. We therefore feel that our company members must attend their dance classes regularly as well as workshops
and field trips by our school and by the organizations to which we belong.
Company members should NOT miss rehearsals. Members will be allowed three unexcused absences
September through June. This does not include unforeseen illness or family emergencies. Members who miss more
will be removed from the group. This season's attendance and behavior will be taken into account for next year.
All company members will be required to take at least two ballet classes per week, one regular class and
one Cecchetti graded class. With the exception of Primary students.
Members in the company must also have good attendance (75% minimum) of their weekly classes. Attendance
will be monitored closely. If attendance falls below the 75% minimum, the student will be required to take make-up classes.
A dancer's health is important. Please see that your child eats healthy food and gets plenty of rest.
All members must purchase a sweat suit and dance bag designed by the school, which they must wear to each
performance or event. They must also purchase a leaotard. These must be paid by August 1st.
Costume fees must be paid by September 1st.
Competition fees must be paid by January 15th.
All members must have appropriate shoes.
All members are obligated to participate in all events, performances and competitions for which they are
scheduled.
All members are expected to behave respectfully at all times to all teachers, staff members and other students.
Competition and performance dates are subject to change. We will try to give you ample notice
if changes are neccessary.
All members will be selected for specific groups and certain dances on the basis of their abilities and skills.
Please respect the teachers' time. We all give up a lot to work with these children. Please do
not tell us at the last minute that your child cannot make rehearsal. We also cancel plans to be at rehearsals.
If you know about conflicts early enough, we can sometimes re-schedule.
Our goal is to reach greater artistic and technical achievements and to keep the caliber of our dances and
dancers at the highest possible level.
**All Stage struck members and parents must read and agree by written consent to the above rules.
